Our belief in helping individuals see every possibility goes beyond our members to the broader communities we serve. In addition to our investments in Eyes of Hope and Disaster Relief, we partner with nonprofits and our employees to make a difference in communities across the U.S.
Through VSP® Hearts at Work, our employees are empowered to contribute to their communities through donation matches, paid volunteer hours, and rewards for volunteerism and service on nonprofit boards.
During Global Volunteer Month 2024, 500 VSP Vision™ employees dedicated 3,000 hours to support 140 nonprofit organizations. Overall, in 2024, employees logged more than 16,000 volunteer hours with nearly 1,500 nonprofits.
VSP Vision was the official vision partner of the Homeless World Cup 2023, hosted in Sacramento, California, during the global competition's first time in the U.S. The event works to challenge and change people's perceptions of homelessness and the issues that surround it. To ensure players could see their world clearly on and off the field, all athletes received Nike Vision sunwear and 228 athletes and staff received free vision care through the VSP Eyes of Hope mobile clinic on-site.
Since 1999, VSP Eyes of Hope has partnered with the American Red Cross to provide access to eye care and replacement glasses for community members affected by disaster. VSP is proud to be an American Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program member.
For more than 20 years, VSP Vision has supported the work of Prevent Blindness, which prevents blindness and preserves sight through public awareness, education, programs, and direct health services. Prevent Blindness honored VSP with the Persons of Vision 2020 Award.
