Accelerating Health Equity

Access for Those Who Need It Most

VSP® Eyes of Hope® was founded more than 25 years ago to increase equitable access to eye care and eyewear for people in need.

Today, 1.1 billion people worldwide live with vision impairment and can’t get the care they need. To address this disparity, VSP Eyes of Hope removes barriers of income, distance, and disaster to bring vision care where it’s needed most within the U.S. and beyond. To date, VSP Eyes of Hope has provided access to no-cost vision care for more than 4.3 million people. We’re accelerating health equity through programs that increase equitable access to vision care, aid communities affected by disaster, and invest in the optometrists of the future.

Disaster Relief

We help restore sight and hope to communities affected by disasters by partnering with disaster relief organizations and optometrists.
